Wine and sake tastings in Treviglio
Glasses on the table. No exam.

It is not a lesson.
It is something to discover together.
Our tastings are guided by us, Erica and Pietro, AIS sommeliers. Erica is also a Sake Sommelier with the Sake Sommelier Association.
We talk through what we taste, read the clues in the glass together, and compare regions, styles and producers.
You can ask questions, say you do not like a wine, change your mind five minutes later, or pick up an aroma completely different from what we notice.
It is not a competition to see who can identify the most things. And above all, there is no answer to memorise.

A different question every time
Sometimes we start from a grape variety and follow it through different regions.
Other times we place wines side by side that seem similar and discover just how different they can be. Or we hide the bottles and let colour, aromas and taste provide the clues.
Then there are evenings devoted to pairings, meetings with producers and events entirely dedicated to sake.
The common thread always remains the same: discovering something we did not know before the tasting.

How it works
Book
Places are limited so that we can genuinely guide the tasting and talk about it together.
We taste
Each event follows a theme and includes several tastings chosen to explore it through comparisons and contrasts.
Let's talk about it
Erica and Pietro guide the evening, but questions, impressions and doubts are all part of the tasting too.

Sometimes the best part begins after the last glass.
A tasting has a start time. Much less often does it have a real moment when someone decides it is over.
It happens that after the last taste, people stay at the table talking, comparing impressions, remembering bottles drunk years ago or debating which glass they liked best.
For us, that is part of the experience.
Wine is the reason people sit down. It is not always the reason they stay.
And sometimes we leave La Bidule
We like telling the stories of producers, but we like meeting them even more.
That is why we also organise La Bidule on the road: visits and small trips dedicated to wineries and places that normally reach us inside a bottle.
A way to see where what we taste comes from and meet the people who make it.
